Determining if Reese Goose Box # RP94623 Will Work with Recessed Gooseneck Ball

Question:

I have determined that I am going to need the #RP94623 Goose Box and the spacer kit #RP61301 for my Lippert 1116 pin box. My question is will this Goose Box allow ample room with my gooseneck ball, that is recessed into the flatbed of my truck? The recess is 15x15.

The Reese Goose Box Air Ride Coupler Adapter # RP85FR referenced in your question is designed to replace the Lippert 1116 Pin Box that you have on your trailer, as long as you use the Spacer Kit # RP61301. I am not sure exactly how far recessed the gooseneck ball is on your flatbed, but at 4 inches up from the bottom of the Goose Box (where it clamps around the gooseneck ball), the clamp mechanism is 7-1/2 inches at its widest point. This will still leave you plenty of room on your 15 inch x 15 inch recess.

If you are able to tell me how far the ball is recessed, I will be happy to further confirm if this will work for you.
