We have everything you need to get your 2012 Nissan NV2500 ready to tow a trailer but unfortunately there isn't a plug and play connector on your van for a brake controller. You also need to start with a 4-way, like part # HM11143585 that fits your van, before installing a 7-way. Once you have the 4-way use our # ETBC7 kit to convert it to the 7-way. The kit includes all of the wiring to connect a brake controller as well. I've linked a video of the kit being installed on an NV2500 like yours. It seems more intimidating than it is because most of it is just running wires. There's only one splice into the vehicle.
The Curt TriFlex brake controller, part # C24VV, you looked at is a great chioce. You can also use the wiring adapter # C51515 to connect the wiring to the controller.
It sounds like you already have a hitch but if you don't I recommend the Draw-Tite, part # 75715. Then complete your setup with our ball mount kit, part # 989900. I've linked an article to help you determine the rise or drop you need with your van.
