Option for Adding Length Between Tow Vehicle and Trailer

Question:

I have 36foot travel trailer Im trying to put a golf cart on the back of my truck. I need to let my tale gate down. I cant because the camper to close. My truck is a 2016 Silverado 1/2 ton pick up

You didn't say how much more length you'd need to let your tailgate open but we have the Curt Class III Drawbar # C45270 which is 13 inches from the center of the pin hole to the center of the ball hole to center of the pin hole. This is most likely longer than what you have.

The problem with hitch extenders is that they cut the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by quite a bit and most wouldn't have the capacity needed for a travel trailer your size.
