How Is Lippert Better Bath RV Bathtub LC209678 Depth Dimension Determined

Question:

How do you measure the actual depth of the bathtub our measurement shows to be 11 1/2 inches. And everything we have seen so far is 9 1/2 inches.

Lippert Better Bath RV bath tubs like # LC209678 have a their depth dimension taken from the top flat surface (where your arm might rest if you were bathing) down to the exterior bottom of the tub. This measures 10-1/2-inches as shown for tub # LC209678 in the Lippert diagram sent to me by one of their technical contacts.

The tubs have a vertical lip around three of their sides and this lip is NOT included in the depth measurement. Please refer to the linked diagram.
