In order to remove the check engine light that is associated with the installation of a DPF delete kit on your 2012 Ford F-250 with 6.7L V8 diesel engine and make sure it stays off, you would need to have a custom tune performed on the vehicle. In order to have a custom tune performed on the vehicle you would need a performance tuner that supports custom tunes. Almost all of the aftermarket tuners can clear the code but it will always reappear if not tuned out of the system entirely. If a custom tune is not performed after the installation of the DPF delete then your truck will likely go into limp mode.
