Glass packs are a Universal fit item that require welding for installation. You will most likely need a 2-1/2 inch diameter inlet and outlet for installation on your 1998 Mustang GT, but you should measure the exhaust pipes on your vehicle to be sure.
The glass pack mufflers are legal for use, as long as your system is within the local sound ordinance. You will need to check local laws to be sure.
If you would like a bolt on system and your Mustang has the V8, 4.6L engine, there are two systems available for cat-back installation, # MF15677 and # MF15638. I would select the # MF15677 if you are looking for a louder system and the # MF15638 if you want an aggressive tone that is not quite as loud.
