Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2012 Ford Escape

Question:
Hello, I have a connector on my 2012 Ford Escape that I believe to be for tow wiring prep, but I cannot find a product that fits it in all of my searching. The dealership was not able to find it through their search either. It is a rounded rectangle with 10 pins located on the drivers side just inside the rear bumper. Perfect placement for tow prep. Do you have a product that fits this adapter?

Based on my research, the 10 pin connector that you found on your 2012 Ford Escape is actually unrelated to any trailer wiring functions so there is not a harness available that will connect to it.
If your 2012 Ford Escape does not have the factory towing package, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118551. This custom-fit harness will connect to built-in ports that are located behind the driver and passenger side tail lights. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power your trailer's basic signal lights.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can use for reference.
