Where is the Driver Side Kick Panel Located on a 2011 Toyota Tacoma for Power Tailgate Lock Install

Question:
Im installing a tail-gate lock, and I cant find the kick-panel and the access panel I have a 2011 Toyota-Tacoma-extended cab. I have successfully installed the actuator and short wire harness and ready to install the long wire harnesss and attach to the switch in the driver side door. HELP!!!!!!aNY SUGGESTIONS???

The kick panel is that trim piece located to the left of the emergency brake pedal, a little forward, and to the right of where the door hinges (if sitting in the driver seat). Different vehicles have this panel attached in different ways so I am not certain what tool or tools you will need to remove it.
