Question:

I have a 2016 Nissan Murano looking at one of your custom trailer hitches very easy installation it looks like however what about wiring for brake lights do you know if the vehicle has them or we need to purchase that as well and have that installed your video did not mention it

Your 2016 Nissan Murano did not come from the factory with a trailer wiring harness therefore if you will be towing a trailer you will need one and for this I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118660 which is a complete plug and play kit that will not require you to cut or splice any wires. We also have an install video of this hitch on a 2016 Nissan Murano which I have attached for you. This install will be even easier than a trailer hitch.

For a trailer hitch I recommend using the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75952. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver tube opening. Unlike Curt trailer hitches, the Draw-Tite hitches do not require the use of an additional stabilizer strap part # 18050 for non-towing applications.

To complete your towing setup you will also need a ball mount/hitch ball and for that I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit part # 989900 which is an excellent starter kit. You will want to use the attached help article to ensure the ball mounts included in the above kit have the correct rise/drop for your vehicle/trailer.
