The 2017 Ford Escape S has a set of turndown exhaust pipes that are different than the other sub-models. The only Curt hitch that is a confirmed fit for the S edition is indeed part # C13186. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver tube opening. This hitch is made right here in the U.S.A and comes with everything needed for installation. You can see the hitch installed on a similar 2017 Ford Escape which I have attached for you but since it is not an S edition, the installation will differ slightly.

If you can tell me what you will be using the hitch for I would be glad to make some additional recommendations for you but you will want to use part # C22272 while the hitch is not in use as this will prevent rust and corrosion inside the receiver tube opening.
