Should Front Fascia on 2011 Buick LaCrosse be Removed to ReTorque Bumper Bracket Hardware
Published 01/30/2018 >
Question:
Last spring I purchased a BlueOx tow package from you to dinghy-tow my 2011 Buick LaCrosse. Excellent purchase experience, great videos and instructions, etc. Now, 10g miles later all is great EXCEPT that the bumper bracket that the BO baseplate bolts to keeps coming loose, especially after traveling rough roads I-10 in La. Can I simply remove the four inside bolts and re torque with Blue Loctite or do I need to remove front facia and find possible outside bolts of this “bumper bracket”? Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks.

If the part of your 2011 Buick LaCrosse that your Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1515 installs on keeps coming loose, I definitely recommend taking off the front fascia and torquing them down.
Any loose hardware that is involved in a towing application, like flat towing, should always be torqued to specs.
If you have difficulty reaching these bolts then it is worth taking your vehicle to the shop and have them take a look as opposed to driving down the highway and some damage happen to your vehicle.
