Can Pop Up Camper Trailer Hand Winch be Replaced with Electric Winch

Question:

We have a 2001 Bonaire 1200 hardtop camper trailer, unfortunately our old crank under the floor of the camper has worn out, very hard to find this part. It is a huge 12 x 6 roof, very nice camper with a slide out dining area Our question is, can we replace the older worn crank with an electric crank? Our old crank part # is Shelby 5438 winch Thank you for helping us with this Sincerely,

If you're going to use a winch to raise and lower your popup you will want a winch that power loads both in and out. With a winch that will only power load in you will only be able to raise the popup and not lower with the winch.

We have the Superwinch LT2000 # 1120210 that will load both in and out.
