As long as your 2008 Kia Sportage is the 6-cylinder model, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55529 referenced in your question is a confirmed fit. It will install by connecting directly to built-in ports under the vehicle, on the driver side. Once installed, you will have the necessary 4-Way connector at the rear of your Sportage for powering your trailer's signal lights.
