Will Curt Trailer Wiring Harness # C55338 Fit a 1995 Chevy G Series Van with Step Bumper

Question:
I have a 1995 chev g 30 work van with a factory step bumper. If I understand this connects inside the rear of the vehicle by the tail lights. I dont see where the step bumper would be a problem.
