The Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock part # PAL8521 comes with everything you will need to install on your 2012 Toyota Tacoma. The solenoid used to engage and disengage the locking mechanism is built into the device. The power demanded of the mechanism is very minimal as all it needs is a signal to tell the solenoid when to open and close therefore, an additional power wire is not needed and the signal wire splicing into the factory wiring harness is more than sufficient.
I have attached an installation video of the mechanism installed on a similar 2012 Toyota Tacoma for you as well.
