Vertical Clearance Required for Rear Door Opening with Yakima HoldUp 2 Rack Y02443 Installed

Question:
I have a 2018 Dodge Promaster Van 3/4 ton. With this rack will the back doors swing open with the rack on but bikes not on it. Or, does it tilt down far enough with bikes on it to allow the back doors to swing open?

I measured the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Platform Hitch Rack # Y02443 when its ratcheting arms are folded down (without bikes) for the dimension you need. This highest part of the folded rack, the wheel cradle, will have a height of 10-inches above the top of the 2-inch shank that fits into the hitch.
So to detetrmine fit on your van measure from the top of the receiver opening up to the bottom edges of the barn doors. If this dimension is more than 10-inches then the doors should be able to swing open with the unloaded rack in place.
It is unlikely that the doors would be able to open with bikes loaded on the rack.
