Troubleshooting Steps on Coachmen Trailer Not Locking in Extended Position
Published 11/29/2017 >
Question:
COACHMAN STEPS DO NOT LOCK IN EXTENDED POSITION, THEY MOVE IN WHEN STEPPED ON
asked by: KEVIN B
Expert Reply:
If the steps on your Coachmen trailer are not locking in the extended position, there may be an issue with gears of the steps. I recommend going underneath the assembly and taking a look at the gears to make sure there isn't anything stuck in the gears or they have not been damaged in some way.
I also recommend making sure the wiring is in good condition, as a bad ground or connection can cause the steps not to fully extend.
If you are unable to resolve the issue, please let me know the manufacturer/model steps you have installed and I will be happy to look into this further.
