Thule SnowPack Carrier Compatibility with Round Bar Roof Basket

Question:

Hi. I have an adventure rack from garvin with a basket. I recently bought the Thule snowpack 6 - and it fits great .. however my cross bar is round so the snow pack tilts.. it seems secure. I just want to make sure it is.

The Thule SnowPack Ski & Snowboard Carrier - 6 Skis or 4 Boards # TH7326 is a fit for round crossbars. If it is tilting, I recommend repositioning it and tightening it in place where it is level for best carrying. It will work fine on the round bars of your Adventure Rack Basket if they are similar to the 1-1/8 inch diameter of a roof rack crossbar.

Depending on the diameter of your bar, it is sometimes difficult to get the clamps tight enough without damaging them. If you need extra space to allow clamping tight you may want to us a thin piece of rubber like a bike inner tube to add the additional grip you desire and give you a thicker diameter.
