Question:
I have a 2017 Ford Super Duty. I have installed a truck box mounted deck, sled-deck, atv-deck. The deck has running and brake lights all LED which plug into the trailer wiring outlet via a 4 way flat connector. The wiring only has 3 wires, white, green, brown. When plugged in, all lights work like they should, but the truck thinks there is a turn signal bulb out on the trailer specifically the left. I get the hyper-flash on the dash, but normal flash on the indicators when the turn signal is switched to the left. There is also a little bit of an electrical draw to 2 of the deck lights, they are dimly lit and flicker when all other lights are off. Will this adapter remedy the trailer bulb out sensing of the truck and the dim draw of the lights?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the 7-Way to 5-Way/4-Way Trailer Adapter # C35FR should correct the hyper-flashing that happens when high-efficiency LED lights are connected to a circuit that is intended for the higher power draw of incandescent lights. This should keep your bulb-out sensors from being a nuisance.
In the event that this adapter does not correct the issue with your deck you can use individual load resistors at each LED light. Examples are part # DI34ZR.
