Expert Reply:
When towing, even with a smaller camper, gas mileage is going to take a hit due to the strain put on the vehicle, in your case a 2017 Ford F-150. The best option for you would be to use the Edge Gas Evolution CS2 Performance Tuner # EP85350 to improve your fuel economy.
It comes with four tunes, including economy and towing, but also a Mileage Coach app which monitors miles per gallon and will allow you to become more aware of driving habits which will help lead you to a fuel-efficient style.
