Question:
Ive had a very hard time installing this hitch that I just bought from you. The install directions are very difficult and do not explain how everything goes together. There are instructions for each piece but not complete ones. There are several spacers but no instructions on which ones to use for my setup. I tried the recommended 1/2 spacers and the hitch does not line up with the underbed system. The hitch is very heavy and putting it in and out of the truck to test fit is ridiculous. You have tons of videos on your site and even one for the undermount system, which does not line up with my 2018 chevy 2500hd by the way. But you dont have any on how to assemble the hitch it self or install the side brackets. The manufacture has nothing either. The instructions are literally 3 pages with no explanation. Its try this or try that depending on your vehicle.

For your 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD with Factory Rail Kit, the # DM8550022 is not the correct fit. You will want the similar # DM8550034 along with the Installation Rails # DM6194. You can simply change out the side plates with # DM6003 for that fit.
If you do not have the factory rail kit/puck system, then you can use the # DM6003 to make your hitch compatible with industry standard rails and then use the Curt base rail kit # C16411-204 for a custom fit.
I've attached a video of a similar install for you. You can remove the side rails to get the system fine tuned without moving the hitch each time. Get the side rails set first and then add the hitch to make the final adjustments for fit. Once you have the fit, you won't need to adjust it again. I understand the frustration, so if you want to send photos we may be able to help if you get stuck.
