Looking for a tow hitch for a bike rack for a 2009 MX5

We have one trailer hitch for the 2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata. It is Curt hitch # C11028. It will not fit models that have the factory Appearance Package. It does work with models that have the power retractable hardtop.

This is a Class I Curt trailer hitch which means a few things. You have to make sure the bike rack is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.

Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks for you. My favorite is the BikeWing # LGA54FR since it is Class I compatible and weighs just 20 pounds!
