Question:
I have two Lippert Axles , tag says GVWR 60000 lbs . NV # 143877 . Serial 398846. MFG date 3-7-07. Its on a 34 foot Hartland Razor 5th wheel toy hauler. I want to convert to disc. brakes. Even though tag says 6000 lbs. it has 8 on 6.5 pattern with 9/16 studs which leads me to believe it is heavier than 6K . Spindle diameters measure 1.750 and 1.250 . It appears to have a 5 hole mounting flange for the backing plate. I want to confirm some things . I will be using a Brakerite EHB Actuator . What determins the axles actual weight ? The tube, the spindle , springs or hub size ? Is this a 6K axle ? Is this some sort of hybrid axle ? What conversion Kit do I need ? Will the BrakeRite Actuator work with kit you recommend? Is there a kit that has the spindles and rotors separate ? Or is the hub and rotor integrated the way to go ? Whats the advantage of either ? Since the RV Breakway switch is already wired do I need to hook up the Red and Brown wires on the Brake Rite Actuator breakaway wires sine it will get the breakaway signal thru the normal breaking connection ? Thanks for your help .

All of the things you mentioned (axle diameter, spindle size, bolt pattern) play a role in determining the axles weight capacity. If you are unsure of your axle capacity, the easiest way to tell would be to crawl under the trailer and look for the information tag placed on the axle. However, I spoke to my contact at Lippert Components (LCI) and they were able to match NV 143877 with a 6,000 lb axle.
I am not really sure what you mean by "hybrid axle" but we do have the disc brake kits that you will need to convert the drum brakes on your Heartland Razor 5th Wheel Toy Hauler to disc brakes. For this, I recommend taking a look at the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit part # K2HR79E for the hub/rotor kit and the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit part # K2R712E for the rotor only kit. You will need one kit per axle.
In addition to the brakes themselves, you will also need a brake line kit and for that I recommend using the HydraStar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit part # HS496-252. The Titan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit part # T4813102 referenced in your question will work nicely with the above kit.
Unfortunately, we do not have a disc brake conversion kit with the spindle included but as long as your existing spindle is in good shape, I would use this in conjunction with the hub/rotor kit as this will be the easiest and most cost effective route. Replacing a trailers spindle is not an easy task and will require a professional qualified welder hence my recommendation for using the hub and rotor kit with your existing spindles.
I have attached an installation video of the disc brake kit, a review video of both the brake line kit and EOH actuator, in addition to a help article for adding disc brakes to a trailer for you as well.
