Does Having Curt Triflex Brake Controller On all The Time Affect Lifespan of Controller

Question:

My triflex controller is on whenever I drive, although we only pull a trailer once a month. Is this going to effect the life of the unit? Am I better off disconnecting the unit, or wiring in a switch to cut power when its not in use?

Brake controllers are designed to be on all the time and leaving yours on would not be an issue at all. The reason you don't want to cut power to the controller is that you'd lose all your settings if you did so.
