Question:

Hi, can the Saris Bones 2-bike rack work on a Mercedes Cabriolet E250? I know it works on a coupe but so far Ive not seen it been verified that it works on a soft top E250. Given that the boots are similar, can i assume the bike rack works on a cabriolet too please?

I have a solution for you, however Saris does not recommend using the Saris Bones, part # SA805BL, on the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E250 Cabriolet because of the convertible feature.

Instead, If you have a bike with a quick release or removable front wheel, I recommend looking at the SeaSucker Komodo trunk rack, part # 298-BK1910-BK. This rack uses extremely strong vacuum cups to mount to the rear of the vehicle with no additional racks or installations needed, and can carry one bike per Komodo. It's not the most economical solution, however is the only option for the convertible model of the Cabriolet variation of the E-Class.

I've included a video review of the rack, as well as a video demonstrating the strength of the rack's vacuum cups so you can see how they perform in action.
