Question:
Yes the trailer has a Carlisle brake controller which is an electric over hydraulic system which is our predominant braking system . We are not permitted to run mechanical brake away systems on trailers that have a 2 tonne combined carrying capacity

Does your trailer have electric over hydraulic brakes? If so that would closer match what you mentioned about needing the adapter to see the connection to the trailer.
