Can Curt E16 Fifth Wheel Hitch Head be Replaced by A16 Head

Question:
I have a e16 head on my truck and would like to purchase an a16 head because of the banging and noise it makes. Will the a16 head fit where my e16 fits. The truck mount is the same I believe. Thanks

Yes, you can replace the head of your E16 Curt fifth wheel hitch with an A16 hitch head part # C16520 and have a much better king pin contact which means much less noise.
