Question:

Could you please inform me on the weight of a trailer hitch? I have a 2016 Dodge Challenger sxt and looking at getting a full trailer hitch set up but am curious of the weight of the whole part. Many thanks.

For your 2016 Dodge Challenger SXT, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13093. This hitch receiver weighs 39 lbs.

I then recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118656 for your trailer wiring. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Dodge Challenger's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove the rear threshold panel and some of the felt lining to access the harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead with the attached fuse holder to the car battery, which is also in your Dodge Challenger's trunk. Connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.

For a ball mount, I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop.
