Question:

I realize there is a 2 hitch pin lock that can be used where the receiver fits into the hitch on my vehicle. However, I notice there is also a bolt where the Rack Base connects to the Receiver that could easily be removed. Do you know if there is a hitch pin lock to secure that area too? If not, are you aware of any alternative solution to secure it? Thanks for your assistance!

There is a simple solution that also has additional functions. What you can do is use a cable lock, like # e98891 to secure the bikes to the rack and the rack to the hitch by passing it through the safety chain loops on the trailer hitch.

The pin in the pivot point on the Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack, # S64665, is slight larger than 7/16 inches. At this time, we do not have a recommendation for a locking pin that size.
