How to Install the Factory Ford Puck System on a 2007 Ford F-350

I was wondering if the 2011-2017 F Series Puck Type Prep Package is something that can be adapted to my 2007 F350 SD 6 3/4 Bed.

In order to gain the factory Ford puck system used on the newer Ford F-Series pickup trucks on your 2007 Ford F-350 you will want to use the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # RP30073.

This rail kit mounts under the truck bed and will give you the same puck system used on the newer Ford trucks. The rail kit will work with any 5th wheel hitch designed to fit Ford's factory puck system. For a 5th wheel hitch that will work well with this rail kit and the short bed on your truck, I recommend using the Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Hitch part # RP30144.

The Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Hitch has an 18,000 lb weight capacity, 4-way adjustable head, and forged single piece self-latching jaw. The sliding feature of this hitch will be ideal for your short bed truck. It also comes with an in-bed 7-way wiring harness.
