Question:

My Chev tahoe oil gauge is showing the oil is hot, is there a fuse or circuit breaker? What is your recommendation?

A faulty circuit breaker/fuse should not cause a gauge display to have an improper reading. It could however be the sensor or wiring that is bad causing a false reading. For example, the coolant temperature sensor usually located on the water neck can give a false high reading if the sensor has gone out. The only solution for this would be to replace the sensor. However, the likelihood that the sensor has failed in comparison to the oil indeed being hot is low. You can check if the oil temperature is different from what is shown on the gauge by using a infrared thermometer like part # PTW89722.

If you can confirm that the sensor and gauge are working correctly and the engine oil temperature is indeed high, I recommend using an engine oil cooler like the Derale Plate-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit part # D15405 to bring down engine oil temperatures.
