Will Brophy Swiveling D-Ring Anchors Fit a 2x6 Trailer Floor and Where Does Backing Plate Mount
Updated 09/28/2017 | Published 09/27/2017 >
Question:
Are the bolts long enough to mount to a 2x6 trailer floor? If so, would the mounting plate go directly under the d-rings or under the 2x6 floor?

The bolts included with Brophy Swiveling D-Ring Anchors w Backing Plates and Hardware - Bolt-On - 2,000 lbs - Qty 4 Item # RR6K-4 are 2-1/4 inches long. If longer hardware is needed for the mounting surface then you would obtain some from a local hardware store.
The backing plate would always go beneath the mounting surface. It is meant to help distribute the force applied to the D-ring to a larger area than just the 4 bolt locations.
