Updated 09/26/2017 | Published 09/25/2017 >
Question:
I have 2008 Smart Fortwo Passion. Installation videos all show use of vehicle lift. Do you know ground clearance required when working off wheel ramps? Can it be done on ramps?

Helpful Expert Reply:
A lift is not required to install Curt trailer hitch # C11020 on your 2008 Smart fortwo. Using ramps or a jack and jack stands will provide you with enough clearance to install the hitch.
