Question:
I dont understand how the one female connector, connects to the propane regulator? My regulator has a hose coming off it, with the standard QCC fitting on the end, that normally connects straight to the tank.

The MB Sturgis # 103606 is a Tee fitting that allows you to attach a disposable cylinder in between your propane tank and regulator. If fits a standard POL fitting on both ends which is commonly found on ASME tanks in motorhomes.
Since your tank uses a QCC fitting you'll need a Tee like # 103613-MBS which is a Type 1 fitting and will connect to a QCC. It has both quick disconnect and disposable cylinder ports for you to attach additional accessories to.
