Red Grease Recommendation in Hub Drums

Question:
Your site indicates that red grease is not recommended for bearings where there are disc brakes. Can you elaborate as to the reasoning? I just had a bearing failure on a travel trailer with 3,500# axles and disc brakes and the rv shop making the repair packed the hub with red grease and recommended I repack the other three with red.

Red grease is the king honestly. I can't find where you found on our site to say otherwise for disc brakes but you'll be fine with it in your trailer hub.
The LMX red grease # L11390 you referenced is a good choice for extremes of temperature or for cases where there is high wear in the bearings/hubs.
