When the pin is fully extended out how long is it? Not the distance covered with the spring, only the distance outside the bracket.

I went out to the warehouse to measure the Bolt-On Zinc Spring Latch Item # SL716 for you. With the pin pulled all the way out (spring fully compressed) it measures approximately 4-7/8 inches from the outside of the bracket to the end of the loop. When resting in the open position that measurement is 3-3/8 inches.
