Question:

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 6 foot bed, and I have already purchased the Curt 16204 Universal rails, and I want to know what bracket kits will be compatible with my truck.

For your 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 short bed and the Curt 5th wheel rails I recommend the custom bracket kit # C16419. This kit also includes the hardware and since you have the rails already this kit is the only other part you will need to install then on your truck.

If you have not settled on a hitch yet I like the HiJacker # DM8550034. This hitch slides automatically and has 14 inches of travel which is the most offered by a standard sliding hitch. I have linked a video review of this hitch for you.
