I have the perfect option to gain some power in your 1997 Ford F-150. For a programmer confirmed to work with your vehicle I recommend using the Edge Gas Evolution CS2 Performance Tuner part # EP85350. The CS2 can increase your vehicle's horsepower rating up to 15 BHP and torque rating up to 20 TQ. While using this tuner you will be able to adjust several parameters of your vehicle such as shift points and fan speeds.
