Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2017 GMC Sierra 3500HD with OEM Rail Kit

Question:
I have a 2017 GMC 3500HD. The GMC has the OEM puck system. It also has the 6foot bed. I just purchased a Keystone Alpine 3400FS 5th wheel which is about 16000 lbs loaded. My research tells me I need the Curt C16023 and the Curt 16541. Is that correct? First time 5th wheel owner and I want to get this right the first time. Thanks.

Yes, the Curt rail kit adapter part # C16023 will fit the factory rail kit of your 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 and then will allow you to install the fifth wheel hitch part # C16541 which has a 20k capacity that would be more than enough for your 16k trailer.
The slider portion of this hitch will allow you to make tighter turns without having the nose of the trailer hit the cab of the truck.
