Supplemental Braking System Recommendation for Flat Towing 2001 Jeep Wrangler TJ

Question:
I have Class A motorcoach, and am planning to tow a 2001 Jeep Wrangler. Am I required to have a brake system to activate the Jeep brakes via the coach air brakes? If so, which ones do you recommend? My previous experience has been with towing a 2006 Ford F250, and I used an Air Force 1 as my supplementary brakes. Thank you in advance.

Most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
If you want to go with a permanent install style I recommend the Air Force One # SM99243 again. It's the best system to use on a coach with air brakes. A lot of the other systems use the motorhome's brake lights to trigger the brakes which can cause false braking on the toad. You won't have this with the Air Force One.
