Question:
Hello Recently I have done welding job on the truck. Truck was disengaged from trailer but the chain of the trailer was hanging down and touching the trucks frame. Since than trailer has the the light on all the time even its disconnected from truck. I have to take out the trailer battery every time I park. I assume welder caused all this. Can you help me to find the problem. I dont know what to check, where to look. Thanks

It definitely sounds like you have a wire that is going from your trailer battery that is closing the circuit on your lights. You will want to trace your wiring from your trailer battery to determine where the power draw is. You will want to make sure that wire is free from insulation damage and has a clean connection. You can check wire function using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. It is possible that the heat from welding could have created an extra connection from insulation melting if it wasn't done carefully.
After you do a little testing, let me know the results and I can help you with further troubleshooting if needed. I've attached an article on trailer wiring to assist.
