Recommended Kayak Carrier for 4 Inch Wide Crossbars on 2003 Hummer H2

I have a 2003 Hummer H2 with factory crossbars. The crossbars are 4inch wide. What carrier can I use to mount on these? I need something with at least a 5inch clamp on bolt distance center to center....please help....

Most standard kayak carriers, such as the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier # Y04073, are designed to mount onto crossbars that are up to 3-1/2 inches wide. There is not a bolt-mounting carrier available that will fit the wider 4 inch bars you have on your 2003 Hummer H2.
For this reason, I recommend looking at the Thule Surf Pad # TH845000 along with the Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes # TH531. These pads will wrap around the 4 inch wide crossbars on your vehicle to provide a soft resting point for your kayak. You will then use the tie-down straps to secure the kayak onto the crossbars and roof of your vehicle.
