Question:

I just purchased hubs with 4 new rim covers and 3 of the 4 hubs came off on the road somewhere this weekend. I thought they were tight. Tires are new and inflated. My rims are 8 bolt 16 inch Sundowner trailer. I thought these were the ones to get from reviews. Any advise?.

The Phoenix USA QuickTrim Hub Cover for Trailer Wheels - 8 on 6-1/2 - ABS Plastic - Chrome - Qty 1 # PXQT865CHN don't normally have any issue. It is possible that they weren't put on tight or that the covers were even defective.

Do you have 7/8 inch lug nuts? If not it is possible that you have the wrong cover. That bolt pattern has two common lug nut sizes and those different sizes require a different cover. If you have 13/16 inch lugs, you will want the Phoenix USA QuickTrim Hub Cover - 8 on 6-1/2" Bolt Circle - ABS Plastic - Chrome - Qty 1 # PXQT765CHN.
