Troubleshooting Prodigy Brake Controller that Shows NC Connection
Updated 08/14/2017 | Published 08/13/2017 >
Question:
The error code is showing on my brake controller NC when the vehicle is turned off and running. I drive my pickup rarely and do not remember a code on the display. What procedure should I use to troubleshoot the error code? Thanks,

There are 4 potential problems that are stated in the instructions (linked) that could cause the NC (no connection) reading on your Prodigy P2, # 90885. I have also included a couple of links to wiring and brake controller information. The 4 possible causes for NC are as follows.
1. Trailer not connected to tow vehicle.
2. Trailer connected with open circuit on brake line.
3. Trailer connector disconnected or corroded.
4. Loss of trailer brake magnet ground.
If you are seeing this code without a trailer connected you are most likely just fine.
