Choosing Between Radial or Bias Tires on a 5,000 Pound Fifth Wheel Travel Trailer

which is better on my 5,000 lbs fifth wheel travel trailer, radial or bias tires ?

If the option is available I would recommend the radial tire over the bias tire because of better stability, better ride comfort and it will also dissipate heat better. Heat buildup inside a tire is what will cause many problems with tires. Radial trailer tires will also give you longer tread wear as long as the tires are maintained properly.

For either type of tire you will want to make sure to inflate the tire to the maximum air pressure that is listed on the sidewall of the tire.

Also, when replacing tires you will want to make sure all of the tires on your trailer are of the same size and tire construction (radial or bias). You do not want to mismatch the tires.
