Does it Matter where the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Brake Controller is Mounted on a Trailer

Question:
I there, I have a 2009 GL 450 Benz as a tow vehicle. The Tekonsha was installed by an RV dealer. It was installed square to the trailer, in other words, not in-line with the trailer. Does this position have any negative affects to the performance of the brake controller? I installed another tekonsha on another set up and havent had any issues. Thank you!

If you look at the linked instructions for the Prodigy RF # TK94FR you will see that there is nothing prohibiting installation perpendicular to the tongue. But ideally it would be parallel with the frame and level + or - 5 degrees.
