Question:

I had a key snap off in Cargo carrier. I found # THLOCKN077 to be the correct core but I also need the housing since my key is broken off I can not remove it inorder to replace the core, I need to replace the whole assembly. Do you sell the housing as well? I cant find a good picture but this should help. It is a bell shape housing on exterior with a narrower shaft on the back that pass through the body of the carrier and connects to the rest of the locking mechanism.

My contact at Thule said that there are no replacement lock assemblies for their cargo boxes; only the lock cores.

He did say that you can either get a key extraction tool from your local hardware store and attempt to get the key out yourself. Another possible option would be to drill out the key. You can either try doing this yourself or you can get a locksmith to do it for you.

Either way, once your key is removed it would probably be best to install the new lock core # THLOCKN077 that you mentioned is the correct fit, just try to safeguard against that happening again. If you need a new key you can purchase part # THKEYN077 as well which works with the lock core that you mentioned.
