Does ECO Hitch for Subaru Crosstrek 2017 Have Safety Chain Loops
Updated 06/08/2020 | Published 07/20/2017 >
Question:
How do the safety chains attach to the hitch? Do you need to go around the bottom of the bumper to attach them to the hitch? If so and you had to use them, wont it rip the bumper off? Also, for the pin, can you it from behind the car or do you need to reach under the bumper to the pin?

The EcoHitch part # 306-X7203 which is a fit for your 2017 Subaru Crosstrek does have safety chain loops. They are on either side of the hitch tube.
I attached a picture that has them pointed out.

We are looking at this hitch for our '17 Crosstrek. Are there any clearance issues with the chains and the muffler? I didn't see any picture to confirm or nullify this. I was also wondering about clearance with the threaded pin. We have a Swagman XC 2 rack. Thanks
