Step Recommendation for Trailer Hitch that Allows 3 inch Drop From Hitch Opening

Question:

I need a step that is about 3inch below the top edge of the receiver opening. What is the maximum ? Is it adjustable, and if so in fixed increments or continuously? Planning to use to access my Alpenlite camper on a 2008 F350 Superduty 4x4 as an intermediate step between a metal stool on the ground and the step on the camper. A 3inch would put the step halfway between the ground stool and the camper step. I dont care if it folds aside or under. I will remove in transit. I will use with a 24inch hitch extender that is 2x2 at the distal end to span the distance between the receiver on the truck and the bumper of the camper. I may need to add an additional short hitch extender to get the right position of the step relative to the camper step. Weight capacity is not an issue as the hitch is a 2 1/2x2 1/2 receiver and the extender is rated for 600# tongue weight. Thanks.

The Portable Pet Twistep # HE3052 would work well for you. This is height adjustable and could easily be set at 3 inches from the top of the hitch opening down to the step. If you check out the review video I attached you can see it in use and how to adjust it.
