Question:
Can I tow a 2012 Captiva behind my motor home with all 4 wheels on the ground?

Yes, your 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport can be flat towed with all 4 wheels down. In order to do so, you will need a few components such as a base plate kit, tow bar, supplemental braking system, wiring harness, safety cables, and possible high-low adapter. I have attached my recommendations for the following items below:
For a base plate kit designed to work with your vehicle, I recommend using the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX3332 as it has a removable arm feature for a more aesthetically pleasing look while not in use. A great tow bar to use would be the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar part # BX7380 as it comes with safety cables which is one less component you will have to purchase separately. You will also need a supplementary braking system and wiring harness. For this, I recommend using both the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251 and the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15247.
You will also need a few other components such as the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass part # RM76511, Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit part # RM-751476, and possible high low adapter. To determine if you will need a high-low adapter, you will need to measure from the ground to the middle of the base plate kit installed on the vehicle and the ground from the top of the hitch receiver tube. If these measurements are within 3" of one another, you will not need a high low adapter. I have linked a list of all our high-low adapters.
I have also attached several installation and review videos of my recommendations for you.
